Actions Technology and C-Media Electronics Launch the Revolutionary Xear™ 7.1.4 3D Spatial Audio Wireless Gaming Headset Solution, Redefining Gaming Sound
To meet the growing demand in the gaming peripherals market for wireless, personalized, and professional products, and the pursuit of superior sound quality, Actions Technology has partnered with C-Media Electronics, a renowned global brand in PC peripheral audio ICs, to launch the new Xear™ 3D Panoramic Audio wireless gaming headset solution. The end product is now in mass production and available on the market.
For wireless gaming headsets, Actions Technology and C-Media Electronics have combined their deep expertise in hardware and software to co-develop a new high-quality, low-latency wireless audio SoC chip. This 7.1.4 3D panoramic audio solution delivers an unparalleled immersive sound experience for PC gamers, movie enthusiasts, and music lovers.
With Actions Technology’s low-latency, high-quality chip technology, this wireless gaming headset solution features low latency, high sound quality, strong interference resistance, and low power consumption. It supports real-time dual-mode mixing with a 2.4G proprietary protocol and Bluetooth calling. On the software side, it integrates C-Media's Xear™ 3D panoramic audio algorithm and 7.1 channel audio processing driver, combined with a dedicated graphical user interface (GUI), significantly reducing development costs and design complexity for gaming headset manufacturers, speeding up time to market. Additionally, the solution incorporates 360-degree head-tracking technology, making sound positioning more realistic. The immersive environmental sounds dynamically adjust in real time based on player movements, significantly enhancing in-game sound detection, allowing players to experience a true 3D virtual surround sound that follows their movements.
C-Media's Xear™ 3D panoramic audio technology surpasses the limitations of most current spatial audio technologies, which are often confined to stereo or 2D horizontal rotation. It can simulate the positioning and distance of thousands of sound sources in a 360-degree space, achieving precise 7.1 channel 3D sound reproduction. C-Media Electronics' Chairman, Eric Cheng, stated: "Actions Technology is a low-power AIoT chip design company with deep expertise in audio and wireless transmission technologies. C-Media has been focusing on 3D audio technology for many years. Together, we are breaking new ground with the Xear™ 3D Panoramic Audio wireless gaming headset solution, injecting fresh energy into the gaming headset market. We look forward to more in-depth collaborations with Actions Technology to jointly lead the future of the gaming headset market."
"From 7.1 channel simulated sound technology to 3D panoramic audio technology, the gaming headset solutions co-developed by Actions Technology and C-Media Electronics have already been mass-produced by multiple terminal brands," said Dr. Zhou Zhenyu, Chairman and CEO of Actions Technology. "Through our deep technical collaboration with C-Media, we aim to combine our strengths to showcase rich and layered sound details, faithfully recreating the stunning sound design of AAA games, offering gamers an immersive, high-fidelity auditory experience."
Actions Technology was one of the first companies in the industry to introduce a wireless gaming headset SoC solution that supports 32K ultra-wideband AI noise reduction for calls and real-time dual-mode mixing. Balancing power consumption, latency, sound quality, interference resistance, and overall design cost, Actions Technology has earned widespread recognition in the market and received positive feedback from brand customers.
Focused on delivering low-latency, stable, and high-quality wireless audio experiences, Actions Technology will continue to upgrade and optimize its products with deep technical expertise and a commitment to excellence. Through rapid technological iteration, the company aims to provide customers with leading, high-quality, and sustainable wireless audio SoC platforms.
