Small Size·Low Power Consumption·High Energy Efficiency – Actions Technology Launches New Continuous Glucose Monitoring Solution

11/11/2025

Recently, Actions Technology officially launched a next-generation Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) solution. Featuring ultra-low standby current, exceptionally low peak transmit current, and a compact design, the solution provides a small, energy-efficient, and highly integrated hardware foundation for professional medical monitoring and digital health devices, enabling reliable performance for medical-grade CGM systems.

As digital healthcare and physiological data monitoring continue to advance, traditional CGM devices still face challenges in power consumption, form factor, and wireless transmission efficiency. Leveraging its deep expertise in low-power wireless communication and system-level energy management, Actions Technology introduces a new CGM solution that balances precision with power efficiency — setting a new benchmark for next-generation medical wearables.

The next-generation compact Bluetooth® LE chip ATB119G features a module diameter as small as 20mm, achieving an ultra-compact design that provides a lightweight and highly integrated foundation for smart wearable devices.Powered by Actions’ self-developed low-power Bluetooth®LE architecture and energy-efficient analog front-end (AFE), the solution ensures exceptional energy efficiency throughout data acquisition and wireless transmission. This architecture significantly reduces overall system power consumption and peak current, addressing the multi-dimensional demands of medical wearable devices for compact size, low power, and high efficiency.

Technical Highlights

Ultra-compact design: 3x3mm package combines high integration with lightweight form for flexible wearable designs.

Coordinated Power Architecture: Powered by a disposable coin battery (CR920) for ease of maintenance. The Bluetooth®LE main SoC supplies power to the AFE, precisely managing energy use through its low-leakage design.

Ultra-Low Power Consumption: Transportation mode current as low as 10nA, with  Bluetooth®LE connected-state current as low as 6µA — effectively extending storage and operation time.

With these low-power innovations, Actions Technology’s CGM solution enables multi-channel physiological signal acquisition and real-time data transmission under smaller form factors and longer battery life, providing a highly reliable hardware foundation for professional medical equipment and digital health applications.

Y.Y Tao, Product Manager of the Smart Wearable and Sensing Business Unit at Actions Technology, commented:“In the field of smart wearables and health monitoring, power efficiency and compact design remain the core of product innovation. Actions Technology will continue to leverage its self-developed architectures and system-level optimization capabilities to deliver more efficient and flexible low-power solutions — accelerating the intelligent evolution of next-generation devices.”

As a leading domestic AIoT chip design company specializing in low-power technologies, Actions Technology continues to expand its innovation footprint — from smart audio to wearables, from wireless connectivity to health sensing. The launch of this CGM solution marks another milestone in Actions’ pursuit of low-power wearable applications, delivering a highly competitive, medical-grade continuous glucose monitoring platform for industry partners.
